Whilst idling away some time in our local branch of The Range (other emporiums are available) I came across a packet of brass rings which are suitable for spectacle plate surrounds.

These are held in place with canopy glue sparingly applied with an offcut of fine wire.

The whole loco has been coated with matt varnish- again an inexpensive purchase from our local In-Excess.
