A new addittion to the family- reason for lack of modelling!

If anyone wondered why no new posts have been made since August- This is the reason, my puppy Alan.

Weighing in at 1.7kg this little bundle of fur has been an absolute delight and worth every minute that has been spent training and nursing to full health.

None of the info we were given turned out to be true- not chipped or vaccinated and his coat was severely matted.

Moving on some six weeks we now have an adorable , affectionate puppy that has repaid our work immeasurably

After six weeks Alan is now fully vaccinated etc plus he is now a healthy 4.8kg.

He is a keen modeller - sits on my lap ensuring I don't do anything- but the rewards are priceless.

Here's hoping we get back to serious modelling- but I don't hold out a lot of hope!

St Mewan platform. 20,000 views reached!

The views reached 20,000 over the last couple of day's- Thank you!
The platform edge has been fitted. Simple thin card folded and scribed to represent 2 x 4ft slabs.

The edge was masked with Tamiya masking tape and painted with an acrylic mix of grey, brown, green and black. when still wet the tape was removed to reveal an almost perfect platform edge white stripe. I say almost as a few touch-ups with white are required.

The platform was marked out with the Station building and Signal Box and then neat PVA was brushed on and very fine granite ballast sprinkled on to represent a stone surface. Time will tell if this has worked but at worst it can be re-done.
