Out and about Summer 2018.

Took a trip to the Emerald Isle recently as part of my summer European Tour.
Whilst there I managed to spend a few minutes at Mullingar Station.
Every time I visit it seems to improve structurally but parts are now truncated and there is no more clear views of the engine shed as that part of the line has been truncated.
Unfortunately I couldn't wait for the next train as there was about two hours before the next.
There's always next time!

Romsey 2018-part deux!

Second in this trio is Courtmacsharry which was the harbour terminusof the Timoleague and Courtmacsharry Extension Light Railway which was built in Ireland in 1891.
Built by Andy Cundick, this was the layouts first outing and was shown as a work in progress.
The prototype was built under the Tramways (Ireland) act and was of lightweight construction.
Passenger services ceased in 1947 apart from the Regatta excursions and finally closed in 1960.
