After running Rheanus in, it is time to convert to something more suitable- if only to replace the orange colour!So, the loco has been reduced to its component parts- chassis, footplate and body. The body can have the cab removed but it doesn't need doing in my case.
The chimney has been removed and replaced by the 3D printed replacement by Blue Model Trains via Shapeways, the backhead has also been fitted as has the pump.
Both of the parts shown have been undercoated and the footplate painted in satin black.
The body will receive a livery of green and black- then I will see if suitable lining can be found.
By then I expect the nameplates will have arrived from Narrow Planet.
